Helena Bonham Carter Joins Cast Of Netflix’s ‘The House’

Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd) has joined the voice cast of Netflix’s upcoming anthology entitled The House, alongside Miranda Richardson (Sleepy Hollow) and Matthew Goode (Leap Year), according to The Hollywood ReporterThe series is a dark comedy that follows the three individual stories of the people who made a house their home.

Chapter One of The House includes the voices of Claudie Blakley (Flesh and Blood), Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness), Mark Heap (Friday Night Dinner), Josh McGuire (Lovesick), and Stephanie Cole (Waiting for God), alongside Carter, Richardson, and Goode. Meanwhile, Chapter Two is led by voice actors Yvonne Lombard (A Lesson in Love) and Dizzee Rascal (Kingsman) and Chapter Three is led by Paul Kaye (Dennis Pennis R.I.P), Will Sharpe (Flowers), and Susan Wokoma (Chewing Gum).

In a statement, series producer said “The characters in The House, albeit in different ways, are all trying to make sense of the world and their place within it. It’s about their flawed attempt to conform to an idea of who they think they are or who they think they ought to be. And whether they manage to break free or not. We couldn’t have dreamt of a better cast: they all embraced the heart of those existentialist comedies and the uniquely caustic sense of humor of our visionary filmmakers and writer in spectacular ways,” via The Hollywood Reporter
