HBO Schedules Stand-Up Specials and Picks Up New Tracey Ullman Sketch Show

Tracey Ullman is coming back to TV and HBO.

According to Deadline, HBO has picked up Ullman’s six-episode sketch show Tracey Ullman’s Show. The series originally aired earlier this year in the UK on BBC One, and is set to premiere on HBO on October 28th at 11.

Ullman has a long history in television and with HBO. In the ’90s HBO aired Ullman’s comedy specials Tracey Ullman: Class Act and the Emmy-winning Tracey Ullman Takes On New York. The Takes On New York special spawned Ullman’s four-season long, Emmy-winning series Tracey Takes On…, which included a cast of Julie Kavner, Hugh Laurie, Cheech Marin, Jon Favreau and Danny Trejo.

HBO has also set premiere dates for All Def Comedy, and stand-up specials from Jerrod Carmichael, Pete Holmes and T.J. Miller.

The Tony Rock-hosted All Def Comedy will tape at Los Angeles’ Avalon Theater on September 7th and air in November. The special, showcasing upcoming stand-ups, is executive produced by Russell Simmons, Jeru Tillman, Stan Lathan and Chris Conti.

Carmichael (The Carmichael Show) previously had an HBO special in late 2014 called Jerrod Carmichael: Love at the Store. His second HBO special is set to tape this fall for a premiere in 2017.

Holmes, who is starring in the upcoming HBO/Judd Apatow comedy series Crashing, will have his special premiere on the cabler later this year. Titled Pete Holmes: Faces and Sounds, the special was originally taped at Chicago’s Vic Theater back in April.

Miller, Silicon Valley‘s Erlich Bachman, is set to tape his special T.J. Miller: Meticulously Ridiculous on September 16th at the Paramount Theater in Denver. It will debut on HBO sometime in 2017.
