As the fate of HBO’s owner hangs in the balance, the history-making network released a first look at several new titles coming to screens in 2026. The two-minute featurette includes sneak peeks of returning series Euphoria and House of the Dragon, and new shows such as DC’s Lanterns. View the video below.
George R. R. Martin’s (A Song of Fire and Ice, Dark Winds) first GOT spinoff, House of the Dragon, returns for its third season this summer. The show, which details the beginning of the end of the Targaryan lineage, has already been renewed for fourth season. We will get treated to a different type of Thrones series in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, set to premiere on January 18.
Before our return to Westeros, we will cascade back to Southern California for the long-delayed third outing for Euphoria. Starring Zendaya (The Drama, Spider-Man: No Way Home) as the substance-addled Rue, the Emmy-winning series is set to return in April, boasting collection of familiar and new cast members.
Moving in reverse, March has a pair of comedies slated. The comeback of Lisa Kudrow’s (No Good Deed, Friends) The Comeback joins Steve Carell (The Office, The Patient) and Charly Clive (Pure, The Lazarus Project) in Rooster.
At the top of the year, the Emmy-winning medical procedural, The Pitt, will debut its second season. The Pittsburgh trauma center will showcase another 15-hour shift during hectic Fourth of July weekend. Three days later, viewers can explore a different workplace stress with the fourth season of Industry.
Other returning series set for next year include the fifth and final season of Hacks, a fourth season of period drama The Gilded Age, and the second season of Dune: Prophecy.
New shows include the limited series DTF St. Louis and Emmy winner Richard Gadd’s (Baby Reindeer) next project, Half Man, with Jamie Bell (Rocketman, Fantastic Four). There’s the Big Bang Theory offshoot, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe; an untitled Larry David project; the two-part documentary, Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man!; and the legal drama War.
Finally, DC’s highly anticipated crime drama, Lanterns, stars Aaron Pierre (Genius: MLK and Malcolm X, Old) and Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, Bloodline) as two ring-bearing Green Lanterns who come to Earth to solve mysterious murder. Additional cast members include Weapons standout Cary Christopher, Jasmine Cephas Jones (Hamilton, #FREERAYSHAWN) and Superman’s Nathan Fillion.
Mark your calendars for the various content coming to HBO and HBO Max next year.
