Wednesday, HBO announced that Girls will finally return to programming with a special hourlong episode. The dates of other scripted series surrounding the Girls time slot have also been announced.
Girls will return for the anticipated season three on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 10pm. Lena Dunham’s hit will follow the debut of the scripted detective series True Detective at 9pm starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. On January 19th, Girls will lead into the gay-themed San Francisco dramedy Looking, starting at 10:30 pm, following the new episode of Girls.
