‘Happy Endings’ Creator David Caspe Gets Pilot Order from NBC

David Caspe is back in the business with a new comedy project.

The creator of Happy Endings has received a pilot order from NBC for the comedy titled Marry Me. The half hour, single camera comedy, centers on a couple who gets engaged and quickly realizes that it is harder than it looks.

The project produced by Sony Pictures Television is written and exec. produced by Caspe alongside Jamie Tarses (Men at Work) and Seth Gordon (The Goldbergs) who will also direct the pilot.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pilot order comes after six moths after Happy Endings was got cancelled by ABC. David Caspe’s currently developing projects include Ball Street at Showtime and Roommates at CBS.

NBC has already ordered  Mark and Robb Cullen’s Mr. Robinson,  an untitled comedy from Tina Fey and starring Ellie Kemper.
