Glenn Close Joins Apple TV+’s ‘Tehran’

Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction) is slated to star in the second season of Apple TV+’s Tehran, according to The Hollywood ReporterShe will take on the role of Marjan Montazeri, a British woman residing in Tehran in the series hailing from Moshe Zonder (Fauda).

The series follows a Mossad agent, Tamar Rabinyan, played by Niv Sultan (Eilat) on her first mission undercover in Iran’s capital, Tehran. The series stars Sultan, Shaun Toub (Iron Man), and Shervin Alenabi (Baghdad in My Shadow). The series debuted globally on Apple TV+ and on Israeli network Kan 11, and subsequently received a second season renewal.

The series is created by Dana Eden (Delusions) and Maor Kohn (Peace Hummus Love). Close’s credits include 101 Dalmations, Hillbilly Elegy, and The Wife. She has won numerous awards for her roles, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, three Tony Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. She has also been nominated for an Academy Award eight times, holding the record for most nominations in an acting category without a win.
