‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Kit Harington Believes There Could Still Be A Spinoff For His Character Jon Snow

According to Deadline, in recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Kit Harington (Eternals, The Beast Within) said that after calling off the spinoff of his Game of Thrones character Jon Snow in 2024, “I feel more comfortable with that character and that world again and where it sits in my life.”

“You had this like bifurcation,” Harrington recalled about meeting fans via Deadline, “like, ‘I’m not that guy. No one’s that guy, but I’m certainly not that guy. I’m sorry.’”

As per Deadline , Harrington stated that he needed some space. “I think I needed to do some other stuff like outside of it and it’s been a number of years and I’ve done all these different things. Some have been seen more widely than others. But I’ve done enough of them now that I don’t feel defined by just that character.”

Deadline reports that even when he announced in 2024 that the show would no longer be developed, he made it clear that the door was not closed on doing the project. “There may be a time in the future where we return to it,” he offered.

“Now I’ve gone and done all these other things, and now I feel more comfortable with that character and that world again and where it sits in my life,” he told Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz (Josh Horowitz, Josh Horowitz) via Deadline.

Harrington continued via Deadline, “I still think there’s world in which something could work. I wouldn’t have gone into it in the first place if I didn’t. But I was very insistent at the start and they were as well, HBO and George R.R. Martin of like: ‘If we don’t find the right thing, let’s not do it. It’s much better if we don’t.’ After a little while of thinking about it — it kind of was me I said, ‘This isn’t quite the right story.’”

Game of Thrones is available to stream on HBO Max.
