FX Shares New Trailer For The Final Season Of ‘Archer’

According to Comicbook, FX has recently revealed the trailer for the new and final season of their original animated series Archer. Over the years Sterling Archer and the agency he works for have gone through many changes, but Archer himself stays the same, making everything about him and the laughs that he gets from his adventures as the self-proclaimed best spy. The 14th and final season will premiere on Hulu and FXX on August 30th.

Down below is the official trailer for the final season of Archer.

According to Comicbook, FX originally planned to have the animated series run as long as possible, during a TCA event last year FX Entertainment President Eric Schrier even stated that the series could run as long as The Simpsons. Unfortunately, the series decided to conclude its adventures with the upcoming season 14.

Schrier explained, “It’s not designed to be the last season. I think we feel really good about the scripts, they’re animating them now for the next season. We’re waiting to see how the creators feel about how long it should progress. We’re very enthusiastic about that show and it’s continued longevity. When you have an animated half-hour like that, it can continue on, as you can see with The Simpsons, for a very long time. Archer still does great for us and people love it and the fans love it. So as long as they can keep doing it and maintain the quality, we’ll want to support it.”

Archer is an original FX adult animated sitcom that premiered back in 2009 and now spans a total of 14 seasons. The series follows the misadventures of the world’s deadliest spy Sterling Archer who works for his mother’s agency alongside many other unique characters. The voice acting cast includes H. Jon Benjamin (Bob’s Burgers), Aisha Tyler (Criminal Minds), Judy Greer (Ant-Man), Amber Nash (Mr.Robot), Lucky Yates (American Dirtbags) as well as the late Jessica Walter (Arrested Development).

The 14th and final season of Archer will premiere on Hulu and FXX on August 30th.
