FX Networks has found its cast for the romantic comedy pilot You’re The Worst, Deadline has learned.
The pilot, written and created by Stephen Falk, centers on two self-destructive people who fall in love and attempt a functioning relationship. Chris Geere stars as Jimmy, a completely self-absorbed, out-spoken and insensitive writer living in L.A. He is deeply unsettled when he finds himself developing feelings for his recent one night stand Gretchen (Aya Cash), a cynical and self-destructive beauty.
Other cast members include Pitch Perfect’s Kether Donohue, who will play Lindsay, Gretchen’s best friend. Lindsay is married and trying to act like a proper adult-type lady. Desmin Borges will play Edgar, Jimmy’s childhood friend and roommate who is a war veteran suffering from PTSD and mild battlefield-induced psychosis.
FX Productions will produce the comedy and Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct.
