Hulu’s animated superhero comedy from Seth Meyes and Mike Shoemaker has been renewed for a second season, Deadline has learned.
The second season of The Awesomes will consist of ten episodes. The series launched in August and is currently one of the top ten most-watched shows on Hulu’s streaming service.
The season 1 finale part one airs today, and the entire first season will be available on Hulu and Hulu Plus on September 26.
The Awesomes is a Hulu co-production with Broadway Video. Meyers will executive produce season two along with Shoemaker and Broadway Video’s Andrew Singer. Judd Winick, the writer and consulting producer for season one will also stand in for season 2.
