The network has released the first trailer for the series which stars Ben McKenzie as young Detective James Gordon.
Fox premiered the first trailer for Gotham, the new series that will focus on the early career days of James Gordon, the man will will become Batman’s trusted confidant in his fight against evil villains.
The trailer shows a young Bruce Wayne, before his transformation in Batman and some of the well-known villains like The Penguin and Poison Ivy before they were “popular.” The video shows Gotham City and how it falls as prey to its criminals while Gordon is trying to resolve the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne.
The cast also includes includes Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Mazouz, Robin Lord Taylor, Camren Bicondova, Erin Richards, Sean Pertwee, Zabryna Guevara and Cory Michael Smith. The pilot episode was written by executive producer Bruno Heller and directed by Danny Cannon as reported by Variety.
Gotham, which will features at least 13 episodes, is schedules to premiere this fall on Fox.
