Fox Entertainment Moves Forward with ‘Ocean Village’ Script Commitment

Fox has announced a request for the backup script and animated presentation for Daniel Cardenas Katz’s (Milbert & MarlinOcean Village animation according to DeadlineOcean Village was originally commissioned by Blue Ant Studios and in line with development with Hulu.

The animated series follows the Diaz family as they make their way of living in the tropical village based on the Florida island. A village that contains raccoon gangs, beach bums, crusty retirees, and cat-sized mosquitos. The Diaz family is a part-immigrant with a multi-cultural background. Katz based this off his own experience living in the Florida island and his first iguana attack.

Katz will serve as the creator, writer, and executive producer for the series. Additionally, Tim Saccardo (American Dad!) will act as a supervising writer for the animation project, and Josh Bowen, Dan Lubetkin (Workaholics), and Nick Weidenfeld (The Boondocks) will be executive produceron the project.

Ocean Village is a co-production of Fox Entertainment and company-owned Bento Box according to Deadline. Currently, there is no set release date for the animated series.
