Fox has decided not to air the 13 episodes it ordered for the animated series Murder Police, TV Guide reports.
Murder Police follows a hapless homicide detective and his co-workers. The series stars Phil Lamar, Jane Lynch, Will Sasso, Chi Mcbride, Peter Atencio, Justina Machado and Jason Ruiz. Ruiz co-created Murder Police with David A. Goodman.
FOX executives were not happy with the first cuts of the show and decided not to place it in the Animation Domination programing lineup. That leaves an opening in the Sunday lineup with The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy; as American Dad departs mid-season for TBS.
FOX says it has many other animated shows in the works for the mid-season debuts.
