First Look At Netflix Heist Drama ‘Kaleidoscope’

Netflix’s Kaleidoscope, formerly known as Jigsaw, is a drama anthology series about  a crew of masterful thieves and their attempt to crack a seemingly unbreakable vault for the biggest payday in history, according to Deadline

The series is inspired by a real life story where seventy billion dollars went missing in downtown Manhattan during hurricane Sandy, via Deadline. The series was written by Eric Garcia (Strange But True, Alexa & Katie) and Ridley Scott (The Martian, Blade Runner), and will star Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Do The Right Thing), Rufus Sewell (Judy, Dark City), and Paz Vega (Spanglish, 10 Items or Less), according to Deadline.

The series will take a non-linear approach to storytelling with eight episodes spanning from 24 years before the heist to 6 months after, and every episode reveals a piece of an elaborate puzzle of corruption, greed, vengeance, scheming, loyalties and betrayals, via Deadline. The episode names are, in no particular order, “Yellow,” “Green,” “Blue,” “Violet,” “Orange,” “Red,” “Pink,” with the series finale titled “White: The Heist,” via Deadline

Viewers are welcome to view episodes out of order, as it will affect their viewpoint on the story, the characters, and the questions and answers at the heart of the heist, according to Deadline. Kaleidoscope is set to premiere January 1, 2023 on Netflix.
