Fans of the popular prime video series based on the video game Fallout are looking for answers on Vault-Tec. The season concluded with a bombshell revelation: Vault-Tec, the company responsible for the underground shelters, appears to have been directly involved in triggering the nuclear war.
According to Screenrant,, the series co showrunners Graham Wagner(Silicon Valley) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) teased in an interview with tha GQ break down the finale, and saids that it’s not all cut and dry, and their is a deeper meaning behind the vault’s accountability and the start of the great war.
Wagner stated “Well, we have more story to tell. I would just not treat anything as definitive because, again, everything that we see is very subjective. That scene occurred. But what occurs between then and the actual bombs falling… there’s more exciting stuff planned between that moment and the last moment, I guess I should say.
Robertson-Dworet replied Yeah. It might be definitive, it might not be.”
According to Screenrant, the series tackles on capitalism as shown with Cooper Howard played by Walter Goggins (Sons of Anarchy), who’s suspicious of his wife, Barb played by Frances Turner (Ghostbusters) and Vault-Tec, and discovers that they plan to use nuclear warfare to get of all the competition. It was also shown that Hank Maclean played by Kyle MacLachlan (Dune) had a hand in the destruction of civilization.
The finale also ends with Norm played by Moisés Arias (Ender’s Game) findng out the secret of Vault 31, which are the cryogenic pods holding the executives, and then he gets trapped.
Season two is sure to continue with the theme of the exploration of corporate greed and capitalism. While waiting further information surround the second season the first one is available to stream now on Prime Video.
