Zack Snyder Shares New Image Of Netflix Animated Series ‘Twilight Of The Gods’

According to Comicbook, Zack Snyder (Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire) has shared the first image for his upcoming animated series Twilight of the Gods. The filmmaker has been teasing information for the series for some time now since its initial announcement. The series is scheduled to be Netflix exclusive featuring many different Gods from mythology.

Below is a post by Snyder promoting the series.

According to Collider, during an interview,  Snyder explained the lore of the series. Snyder said, “It’s basically this: there’s a king and his queen in a small Viking village, and they want to get married. An event happens to them at their wedding that causes Sigrid, who is the bride to be, who is the child of giants, to go on a crazy mission of revenge. She enlists a cast of characters – a seer, a dwarf – and they come together to form a band that has this one mission to find a god and fight him . It’s a mission, it’s a revenge story. Sigrid is this beautiful, very Scandinavian kind of cold but passionate character that I’ve really enjoyed working through and with because she’s just so cool. Sylvia Hoeks voices her.”

The cast for the animated series includes Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones, After Earth) as Amdvari, Lauren Cohen (The Walking Dead, The Boy) as Inge, Jessica Henwick (The Royal Hotel, Love and Monster) as Sandraudiga, Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Brothers Grimm) as Ulfr, Stuart Martin (Army of Thieves, Miss Scarlet & the Duke) as Leif, Jamie Chung (Big Hero 6, The Gifted) as Hel, Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049, See) as Singrid, Corey Stoll (Ant-Man, House of Cards) as Hrafnkel, Paterson Joseph (Wonka, The Beach) as Loki, Pilou Asbæk (Ghost in the Shell, Aquaman, and the Lost Kingdom) as Thor, Rahul Kohli (Supergirl, iZombie) as Egil, John Noble (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Fringe) as Odin, and Jaimie Clayton (Hellraiser, Sense8) as The Seid- Kona.

Currently, there has been no official date for the premiere of the series, but it is speculated to be scheduled sometime this fall.
