Fall is officially here, and with it comes the upcoming list of Fall television lineups! While most begin in September, The CW’s lineup won’t begin until October, along with streaming services Hulu, Amazon, and HBO. Apple TV+ will launch November 1st, followed by Disney+ on November 12th. Popular series like Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Supernatural, and Arrow will reveal their finales, while upcoming series like Batwoman, The Politician, and Watchmen will find new footing.
After the Emmys, a few new trailers were released during the commercials. This included for The Politician and The Crown. A list of the expected shows for the launches of Apple TV+ and Disney+ can also be found below.
Here is a list of the new releases by channel or streamer, as well as the air date.
NBC:
Season 17 of The Voice airs tonight (Monday 9/23) at 8 PST.
Bluff City Law airs tonight (Monday 9/23) at 10 PST. This new series centers on a Memphis family of lawyers that are brought together after the death of their mother. The daughter, Sydney Strait , must reconnect with her estranged father, Elijah (Jimmy Smits).
The fourth season of This is Us airs Tuesday, 9/24 at 9 PST. It will feature actors Asante Blackk, Jennifer Morrison, and M. Night Shyamalan. The second season of New Amsterdam will also air Tuesday following This is Us at 10 PST.
All of the Chicago Universe shows will air Wednesday 9/25: Chicago Med at 8 PST, Chicago Fire at 9 PST, and Chicago P.D. at 10 PST
Perfect Harmony will air Thursday, 9/26 at 8:30 PST. This new series will star Bradley Whitford as Arthur Cochran, a former music professor at Princton who ends up taking an out-of-tune church choir as his new protégées.
The fourth and final season of The Good Place will air Thursday, 9/26 at 9 PST. According to Michael Schur, this was a decision made in the writers room after season 2 was picked up: “ I began to feel like four seasons — just over 50 episodes — was the right lifespan.”
Despite some tensions after Shane Gillis was dropped as new cast member due to a history of Racist, Sexist, and Homophobic Jokes, SNL returns this Saturday, September 28, for its 45th season. The show earned 2 Emmy wins yesterday, with 67 and counting wins total.
Law & Order: SVU, Sunnyside and Superstore will all air Thursday, September 26th. SVU recently broke the record for the longest-running live-action primetime series within US TV history.
Fox:
The third season of 9-1-1 will air tonight, Monday, September 23 at 8 PST, followed by Prodigal Son at 9 PST.
The new Jussie Smollett-less final season premiere of Empire will air Tuesday, September 24th at 9 PST, following The Resident at 8 PST.
Fox will launch all of its new seasons for animated programming on September 29 for The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy at 8:00, 9:00, and 9:30 PST, respectively.
ABC:
The Good Doctor will air the premiere of season 3 tonight (Monday) at 10 PST.
Black-ish will air its sixth season tomorrow, September 24 at 9:30 PST, followed by the series premiere of Emergence at 10 PST. This new series features Allison Tolman (Fargo) in a sci-fi/crime drama.
Modern Family’s official 11th and final season (after being told the 10th would be the last) airs Wednesday at 9 PST,
Afterwards, Stumptown will also air its series premiere Wednesday night at 10 PST.
Fresh Off the Boat will air Friday, September 27th at 8:30 PST for a 6th season.
CBS:
NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans will both air Tuesday, September 24th at 8 PST and 10 PST, respectively.
Young Sheldon and The Unicorn will both air on September 26. The Unicorn premieres at 8:30 PST, following Young Sheldon at 8 PST, but those with CBS’s streaming services can catch an early peek.
Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum P.I., both reboots of older series by the same titles, air Friday, September 27 at 8 PST and 9 PST, respectively.
NCIS: Los Angeles will air Sunday, September 29th at 9:30 PST.
The CW:
The CW fans will have to wait until October to see any new series.
Batwoman and Supergirl will air new seasons October 6. This will be the series premiere for Batwoman, featuring Ruby Rose. The pilot will air at 8 PST followed by the fifth season of Supergirl at 9.
The Flash will air on October 8 at 8 PST.
Nancy Drew and Riverdale will air October 9.
Legacies the final season of Supernatural will air on October 10
Reboots Charmed and Dynasty will air October 11 at 8 and 9 PST, respectively.
Arrow will air its final season on October 15 at 9 PST.
Lastly, Black Lightning will air October 21 at 9 PST.
Netflix:
The Politician drops on the streamer Friday, September 27. A new trailer was recently dropped during The Emmys. Watch it below.
Big Mouth Season 4 will be available October 4. It was recently announced that the series has been picked up for up to six seasons, so fans can expect to see a lot more of this animated adult comedy!
Fans of The Crown can finally see season 2 on November 17. The first footage was dropped in a teaser trailer during The Emmys. Watch it below.
Hulu:
Letterkenny will be available for streaming on October 14.
Looking for Alaska will premiere October 18.
The new season of Castle Rock will be available October 23.
Marvel’s Runaways will be available to stream December 13.
Amazon:
The new anthology series, Modern Love, based off of the novel by the same name, will be available to stream October 18.
The next season of The Man in the High Castle will be available November 15.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will drop December 6 in time for Christmas, along with season five of The Expanse on December 13.
HBO:
HBO will hit the ground running in October with the TV adaptation of Watchmen premiering October 20, spearheaded by Damon Lindelof.
Catherine the Great, starring Hellen Mirren, will drop October 21 and the final season of Silicon Valley will be available for one last ‘hurrah’ on October 27.
Apple TV+:
Shuntaram, an adaptation of the book by the same name, will release the same day as Apple TV+ launches, on November 1st. Other series that will launch upon Apple TV+’s arrival are: The Morning Show, featuring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell; Taika Watitit’s Time Bandits; Lisey’s Story, limited series featuring Julianne Moore; all Peanuts programming; Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Mr. Coreman; Dickinson comedy starring Hailee Steinfeld; and For All Mankind, from the mind of executive producer Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica).
Disney+:
November will be Disney’s month, as well, with its shows becoming available as soon as it drops on November 12, including the highly anticipated The Mandalorian, the first live-action Star Wars series, as well as The World According to Jeff Goldblum, because who doesn’t love Jeff Goldblum. Disney+ is available for pre-order now.
