Exciting Updates Unveiled: One Piece Live Action Season Two Set to Sail into New Adventures!

With the first season of the live-action One Piece completed, season two is sure to pick up where the story has left off with  Luffy and his crew sailing to new adventures. According to Deadline a recent update has arisen detailing what is to be expected of the season in production.  It would seem that the famous actress, Jamie Lee Curtis(Halloween) will be joining the cast and playing Dr.Kureha. Currently, there is still no news about who will be playing characters such as Smoker, Crocodile, or Chopper.

According to Deadline, co-show runner Matt Owen(Luke Cage) expressed the challenges he faced, stating, “It was quite challenging not being able to experience it firsthand or even openly discuss it. This show represented five years of my life, and I take immense pride in it. While I still enjoyed watching it unfold, the inability to share that experience, particularly with my cast, was a difficult aspect.” Additionally, he shared, “I’m grateful that it’s now out there, and I appreciate the positive reception it has received. However, there was a sense of longing not being able to actively engage and participate. I’m now thankful for opportunities like this one, where I can connect with people like yourself.”

The show creators have stated that they would be open to trying different story formats in the upcoming season. According to Deadline, the production has a six-year plan and could go on for 12 seasons. Owens stated, “I do. I want to go as long as we can. There’s a lot of source material. And while I do — just because I’m so obsessive not just with One Piece but planning in general. I will take this show until Netflix says no more.” Fans are waiting in anticipation as their favorite character are becoming reality and to watch what direction the show will go in. Season one of One Piece is available to stream on Netflix.
