Episode Five of Disney+’s ‘Ahsoka’ to Be Released In Select Theaters Starting September 12

The fifth episode from the new Disney+ show within the Star Wars universe, Ahsoka, is being released in select theater locations for limited time on September 12. Soon after the premiere of the fourth episode of the new series, Lucasfilm and Disney announced the fifth episode will show in theaters as part of a Midseason Fan Celebration. Via IGN, “As expected, tickets for the upcoming Tano Tuesday event have proven popular, with fans now invited to join the waitlists to reserve a seat.”

Fans in ten cities around the United States, including Seattle, Orlando, New York, Boston, and Los Angeles, as well as London, Sao Paulo, and Bangkok internationally, will get the opportunity to watch the show on the big screen this coming Tuesday. The tickets to the showing of the next episode of Ahsoka are on a first come first serve basis, and the choice from Lucasfilm and Disney to release episode five in theaters, could mean it is the most exciting episode to date. Episode four aired last Tuesday, and ended with an unexpected turn that surprised fans. According to IGN, “The official title and synopsis for Episode 5 are unknown, but it is the second episode in the series to be directed by showrunner Dave Filoni. Unfortunately the trailers also provide next to no clues as to what might be on the horizon, as the final four episodes of the series only include nine seconds of Star Wars trailer footage.”

Ahsoka is played by Rosario Dawson (Haunted Mansion), who first made her appearance as the Jedi in 2020 in The Mandalorian. The first episode of Ahsoka aired on Disney+ three weeks ago, on August 22. The Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes has a score of 88% and an audience score of 72% from over 2,500 ratings.
