Disney+’s ‘X-Men ’97’ Reveals New Clip For The Upcoming Seventh Episode

According to Comicbook, there is much more to come in the upcoming seventh episode of Disney+’s  X-Men ’97. The series just revealed a new official clip for the episode titled “Rogue Goes Rogue”, which showcases Rogue being the powerhouse that she is known for in the comics. The episode is scheduled to premiere on the streamer on Wednesday, April 24th.

According to Comicbook, showrunner Beau DeMayo (The Witcher) spoke about what is up next for the animated series and the tragic storyline behind the recent episodes. *Warning: spoilers ahead.*

DeMayo said, “My plan was the first half of the season is the OG audiences pre-9/11 days, rife with nostalgia and comfort. Then 9/11 — like Tulsa and other mass tragedies — turned the world upside down and reminded us the whole world unsafe…”

Comicbook also reports that Taylor Newton Stewart (Midnight Mass), who is a composer for the series, explained in a recent interview the future of the series. This is after the announcement of the series renewal for a second season by Marvel Animation. 

In the interview, Stewart said, “We’re working on season two. But we haven’t started yet. I know a little bit about the storylines and characters.It’s always upping the ante. I mean, it’s pretty intense what happens. Yeah, immediately when I was told, I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, what’s happening? This is incredible.’ So, just as a fan alone, I am very excited.”

X-Men ’97 is a continuation of the popular 90’s  X-Men: The Animated Series based on the Marvel comics. The series follows a group of mutants who use their gifts to the world. However, even though their intentions are good, the world fears and even hates them due to their abilities.
