Disney Plans October Premiere For ‘VisionQuest’

Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest will officially premiere on October 14, Deadline reports. Paul Bettany (WandaVision, A Knight’s Tale) revealed the release date during Disney’s upfront presentation.

The series marks the latest chapter in WandaVision and Agatha All Along, continuing the story of Vision after the events of earlier Marvel projects. Marvel has referred to the project as the conclusion of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and later expanded through Agatha All Along.

The series is being developed by Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys), who serves as showrunner. James Spader (The Blacklist, Avengers: Age of Ultron) is also returning to reprise his role as Ultron, marking the character’s first major live-action return since 2015.

Deadline reports additional cast members alongside Bettany include Todd Stashwick (Star Trek: Picard12 Monkeys), set to play Paladin, and Fahran Tahir (Jinn, The Window), who will reprise his role as Raza. The series is expected to focus on Vision as he attempts to recover his memories and identity following the events of WandaVision.

VisionQuest will consist of eight episodes and serve as one of Marvel Television’s major upcoming Disney+ releases as the studio continues expanding Phase Six of the MCU.

mxdwn has previously covered developments surrounding the series during production. One earlier report focused on composer Mick Giacchino (The Penguin, Zootopia+) joining the project, highlighting how Marvel was building a creative team tied closely to the emotional and sci-fi tone established in WandaVision. That coverage emphasized how music and atmosphere were expected to play a major role in shaping VisionQuest’s identity as it continued Vision’s story in the MCU.

The newly announced premiere date gives audiences a clearer timeline for one of Marvel’s most anticipated streaming projects. With Vision now returning to center stage, the series is expected to explore further unresolved storylines left behind after WandaVision while also expanding Marvel’s growing Disney+ slate.

As of now, Marvel has not released a full trailer for the series. However, with the October premiere date now confirmed, more footage and story details are expected to follow in the coming months.
