DC Fandome: HBO Max’s ‘Doom Patrol’ Renews For Season Four and Releases Mid-Season Three Trailer

During the DC Fandome virtual event, it was unveiled that the HBO Max superhero original series, Doom Patrol, will be renewed and coming back for a fourth installment, according to Deadline. Set within the DC Universe, the superhero dramedy program is in the midst of its third season following its premiere on September 23. Created for television by Jeremy Carver (Supernatural, Being Human), the series is a comic book adaptation of the titular squad of superheroes which was created by Bob Haney, Arnold Drake, and Bruno Premiani. 

Doom Patrol centers on the collection of superheroes that have been cast away by society following their transformation to gaining powers through unfortunate circumstances. Now, the team lives together in a secluded residence under the guise of Chief. The cast includes Matt Bomer (White Collar) as Larry Trainor, Diane Guerrero (Orange Is The New Black) as Jane, April Bowlby (Titans) as Rita Farr, Brendan Fraser (Crash) as Cliff Steele, Michelle Gomez (Doctor Who) as Laura De Mille, Joivan Wade (EastEnders) as Cyborg, and Timothy Dalton (Jane Eyre, Penny Dreadful) as Chief. 

Currently, it is unknown when Doom Patrol will begin production or announce the expected release for its fourth season. Regardless, interested television fans can binge and catch up on the series via HBO Max exclusively ahead of its season three finale which will be released on November 11.
