Danny Masterson of ‘That 70’s Show’ Charged For Allegedly Raping Multiple Women

According to Deadline, it was announced today that Danny Masterson (That ’70s Show) was charged for allegedly raping 3 different women on separate occasions between 2001 and 2003. The charges include the alleged three counts of rape by force or fear and the case was filed for warrant yesterday.

The D.A.’s Office declined to file sexual assault charges against Masterson in two other cases, one for insufficient evidence and the other based upon the statute of limitations for the crime alleged, according to Deadline. He is currently accused of allegedly raping 23-year-old woman between January and December 2001. Masterson was arrested late this morning with a $3.3 million bond set which was posted and was out by around 3 PM. Cedric Bixler-Zavala (former lead singer of The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In) has publicly accused Masterson of allegedly raping Zavala’s wife Chrissie Bixler. These accusations have led to the singer claiming that the Church of Scientology poisoned and killed his dogs due to speaking out against Masterson.

The alleged crimes all occurred at the Masterson’s house, according to Attorney Reinhold Mueller of Sex Crimes Division. “Masterson allegedly raped a 28-year-old woman and sometime between October and December of that year he is accused of allegedly raping a 23-year-old woman who he had invited to his Hollywood Hills home,” the complaint stated in April 2003 according to Deadline.

If convicted for these alleged crimes, the actor could spend a maximum of 45 years to life in state prison. Arraignment is set for September 18.
