Danny Boyle is teaming with his Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours team, Christian Colson and Simon Beaufoy for the WWII based drama series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The 10-part mini was written by Simon Beaufoy and is based on the true story of the British-trained Norwegian resistance fighters who sabotaged Hitler’s nuclear development program during World War II. Boyle and Colson will executive produce.
Beaufoy tells The Hollywood Reporter, “As we all know, some of the very best narrative fiction ever told is currently being created as episodic television, this incredible story is ideally suited to the slower burn and added complexity that the longer format allows, and I can’t wait to get my teeth into this.”
