The How I Met Your Mother alumna is returning to the ABC show, says TVLine.
Smulders, who played Agent Maria Hill in The Avengers, Captain America and also on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot, is going back to that TV show to reprise her role.
Her comeback will happen on the episode that will air on April 29th, which will mark a turn of events on the ABC action show.
It was also confirmed that a Coulson (Clark Gregg)/Hill team-up will happen, something many fans had been anticipating ever since Smulders appeared on the pilot and it was hinted that she could come back, given the fact that How I Met Your Mother came to and end just last week.
Also Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Agent Fury in the show, will be coming back, but his appearance is scheduled only for May 13th.
