According to Deadline, CBS has revealed the official teaser trailer for Taylor Sheridan‘s (Landman, Tulsa King) new Yellowstone spinoff. The series premieres on CBS and Paramount+ on the first of March.

As per Deadline, the trailer opens with Kayce Dutton lamenting his losses. “I fought every day to get out of the weight of Yellowstone,” Grimes’ Kayce says. “I’ve lost my teammates, my parents, even my brothers,” he continues as he places his hand on a tombstone. “I know that sometimes good men have to do bad things. But I’m trying to find a new beginning.”

According to Deadline, throughout the main series, that has been much speculation about the state of Kayce’s wife Monica, played by Kelsey Asbille (Wind River, Don’t Move) in Yellowstone. Her absence in the teaser trailer further proves the speculations, leaving many with many unanswered questions. Other Yellowstone spin-offs include prequel series 1883, 1923, and The Dutton Ranch. 

As per Deadline, the logline for Y: Marshals is as follows: with the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates – Pete Calvin, Belle Skinner, Andrea Cruz  and Miles Kittle  – must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families, which for Kayce includes his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) and his confidantes Thomas Rainwater  and Mo  from the Broken Rock reservation.”

According to Deadline, the cast of the series includes Luke Grimes (Fifty Shades of Grey, American Sniper) as Kayce, Logan Marshall-Green (The Invitation, Prometheus) as Pete, Gil Birmingham (Wind River, Twilight) as Thomas, Brecken Merrill (We All Got Up to Dance) as Tate, Ash Santos (Pulse, Our Little Secret) as Andrea, Arielle Kebbel (The Uninvited, John Tucker Must Die) as Belle and many others.
