CBS Renews Comedy Series ‘Ghosts’ For A Fourth Season

According to Comicbook, CBS has recently renewed the comedy Ghosts for fourth season. The series is joined by Fire Country, which was recently renewed for another season on the network. After being a complete success on streaming, the series was moved to broadcast where it also excelled. The series is averaging 10.2 million viewers in a week which, is a two percent increase in viewership since moving to broadcast. Last month, CBS stated that the series is the number one comedy on Paramount+

According to Comicbook, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment said, “GHOSTS and FIRE COUNTRY are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors, and an ever-growing fan base. We are elated to keep the momentum going and bring them back to CBS next season.”

Created by Joe Port (New Girl) and Joe Wisemen (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), Ghosts follows a young named Sam and Jay who are played by Rose Mclver (iZombie) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Avatar: The Last Airbender). The couple inherits a mansion that is haunted and unaware, of the ghostly roommates they have decided they want to turn the mansion into a bed and breakfast. After a sudden fall, Sam is now able to see the invisible roommates which, makes their daily lives much more complicated.

The series also casts Brandon Scott Jones (Isn’t It Romantic) as Isaac Higgintoo, Danielle Pinnock (Young Sheldon) as Alberta Haynes, Richie Moriarty (Pinkalicious & Peterrific) as Pete Martino, Asher Grodman (Chicago Med) as Trevor, Devan Chandler Long (Doom Patrol) as Thorfinn, Román Zaragoza (This Is Their Land) as Sasppis, Rebecca Wisocky (American Horror Story) as Hetty Woodstone, Sheila Carrasco (A Lot of Nothing) as Flower and many others. 

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Lionsgate Television as well as BBC Studios Los Angeles Production.
