CBS Orders Comedy From ‘Friends’ and ‘Seinfeld’ Alums

The new comedy will be titled The Mistake and it just got a pilot order from CBS, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Mistake is a family comedy about a couple who barely finished raising all their kids when they discover they’re about to be parents once more, and the madness begins all over again.

The show hails from three renowned names: Shana Goldberg-Meehan (Friends, Joey) and husband Scott Silveri (Friends, Go On) and also David Mandel (Seinfeld).

The three of them will pen The Mistake‘s script and also executive produce this new multicamera comedy, with the collaboration of Andy Ackerman, who’ll direct.

It is the first time the couple Goldberg-Meehan/Silveri works together since they co-created Joey, the Friends spin-off starring Matt LeBlanc, which aired between 2004 and 2006.

The Mistake, which had gotten a commitment back in October, is now the eighth half-hour show to get a pilot order from CBS this season, following other names such as The McCarthys, More Time With Family and Good Session, among others.
