Bruce Dern, Melissa Rauch, and Horatio Sanz join Showtime’s Latest Comedy Series ‘Black Monday’

According to the press release, the new SHOWTIME comedy Black Monday is adding Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Melissa Rauch (The Big Bang Theory), and Horatio Sanz (Saturday Night Live) to its guest star lineup.

Black Monday will take viewers back to October 19, 1987. Also known as Black Monday- the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. It’s the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, and the glass ceiling.

It is created by Jordan Cahan and David Caspe and stars Don Cheadle (Maurice Monroe), Andrew Rannells (Blair Pfaff), and Regina Hall (Dawn Darcy). Dern will play Rod, a legendary trader. Sanz will play Wayne, a Wall Street wild man who works at Mo’s (Cheadle) Jammer Group. And Rauch will play Shira, the loving wife of trader Keith (Scheer).

Bruce Dern is best noted for his role in as Woody Grant in Nebraska. He can also be seen in The Hateful Eight, The ‘Burbs (1989), and Django Unchained.

Melissa Raunch is most known for her role as Bernadette Rostenkowski in The Big Bang Theory. She can also be seen in The Bronze and True Blood.

Horatio Sanz is best known for his time (1998-2007) on the popular sketch series, Saturday Night Live. Recently, he has been on the hit TV series Glow.

Creators Caspe and Cahan will also serve as executive producers and showrunners for the 10-episode series. Among other executive producers include Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who also directed the pilot.

With co-production between SHOWTIME and Sony Pictures Television, Black Monday guest stars will also include Yassir Lester (Making History), Michael James Scott (Aladdin on Broadway), and Eugene Cordero (Kong: Skull Island), The show will have recurring guest stars Casey Wilson (Happy Endings), Ken Marino (Wet Hot American Summer), and Kurt Braunohler (Bunk).

Black Monday is currently in production and will premiere in January 2019.
