British Actor Noel Clarke From ‘Doctor Who’ Pleaded Not Guilty To Sexual Offense Back In September

British Actor Noel Clarke (Doctor Who, Kidulthood) pleaded not guilty to sexual assault on Wednesday at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. According to Deadline, London’s Metropolitan Police said Clarke was charged with two counts of sexual assault, three charges of voyeurism, and one count of exposure in September.

Clarke has not worked onscreen in the entertainment industry for years after finishing on UK television with the series ITV’s Viewpoint in 2021. He was known mostly for his role as Mickey Smith in Doctor Who from 2005 to 2010. He had roles also in Star Trek: Into Darkness (2014), Fast Girls (2012), Bulletproof (1996), and Centurion (2010). He was credited in directing, starring, and writing in teen crime drama films Kidulthood (2006), Adulthood (2008), and Brotherhood (2016).

Detectives had been investigating Clarke for over a year and found confirmation from recent charges. They had arrested him on September 25, 2025, for the same month they saw a connection in the investigation. Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, whose team is leading the investigation, had informed the women connected to the charges they will be protected and supported from trained officers. They were also encouraged to contact the police with any more information on the assaults.

These charges took place between 2007 and 2016 with five women reporting them against Clarke. There were then allegations from 20 women, who were sexual misconducted and bullied by Clarke in 2021, published from The Guardian. Sources indicated that these women were sexually harassed on the set of Doctor Who by Clarke and had testified against him. He was ordered to pay £3 million toward the outlet’s legal cost, but he denied any wrongdoings he was charged with, and he lost the libel case against The Guardian in 2025. He was also resigned from his Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award from BAFTA. He will appear at Southwark Crown Court on November 18 to continue with the investigated charges.

Corabella Garrey: I have been interested in writing for a long time. It is exciting to figure what one should do for the rest of their life, so it came as a surprise when it just came to me to be a writer. I dreamt about being on a set a few years back, making me question how films were made and how they were written out. I started writing scripts and short stories non-stop, sharing them with friends and captivating the professional creativity it can bring to my life. I overcame the struggle to make scripts and other cinema projects while on a deadline by organizing my time responsibly and approaching each task one at a time to be completed. I went to high school at St. Francis in Grand Traverse County and now am graduating from University of Iowa. I went on Study Abroad in Paris and took Advanced Screenwriting to help my writing abilities grow and learn more of film’s cultural influence around the world. As a hobby, I have taken up poetry and have found it to be satisfying to do as it gets my wonderful thoughts and ideas written down on paper.
