Better Call Saul co-creator and showrunner, Peter Gould, announced at a PaleyCenter panel event for the AMC drama that Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston (Malcolm In The Middle) and Aaron Paul (Bojack Horseman) would be reprising their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman during the show’s final season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Better Call Saul is a prequel of Breaking Bad that centers around Jimmy McGill, also known as Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk (Nobody).
“I have to say that we’ve been a little squirrelly about this,” Gould said, per THR. “I’m naturally a little bit cagey about things, and I don’t want to spoil things for the audience. The first question we got when we started the show was, ‘Are we going to see Walt and Jesse?’ And instead of evading, I’ll just say ‘yeah.’ That’s one of the many things that I think you’ll discover this season.”

At the panel, Odenkirk then teased more surprises for the show’s final season.
“There’s more,” Odenkirk stated, per THR, but did not elaborate on what else could be coming.
Also speaking on the panel was Jonathan Banks (Mudbound), who plays Mike Ehrmantraut in both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, who jokingly pointed out the age difference between Paul, who is 42, and Pinkman at this point in the show.
“Aaron Paul is like 50 years old playing a 20 years old,” Banks said, per THR. “I want to know where you guys set the bar.”
Better Call Saul’s sixth and final season will premiere on April 18th. The series also stars Rhea Seehorn (Veep), Patrick Fabian (The Last Exorcism), Michael Mando (The Hummingbird Project), and Giancarlo Esposito (The Usual Suspects). It is executive produced by Gould, Odenkirk, Vince Gilligan (The X-Files), Melissa Bernstein (Rectify), Mark Johnson (Rain Man), Diane Mercer (Arrested Development), Thomas Schnauz (Reaper), Gennifer Hutchison (The Strain), and Nina Jack (Mad Men).
