Bob Barker Guest Stars on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, April 30

Bob Barker will guest-star on The Bold and the Beautiful on Wednesday, April 30.

Barker, along with animal trainer Brandon McMillan (Lucky Dog) and Los Angeles Councilman Bernard Parks will appear in a three-day animal rescue storyline from April 30-May2. This will be the Barker’s second appearance on the show, he was previously guest starred in March 2002.

In the episode, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) interviews Barker for a feature article about controlling the pet population. Barker encourages Spencer to visit the shelters to get a firsthand look at the work being done to save homeless animals. At the shelter, Spencer and Hope Logan (Kim Matula) are greeted by McMillan and other volunteers who share stories of people involved in animal rescue. They connect with Los Angeles City Councilman Parks and he advises them on how to raise awareness and educate the community about giving rescue animals a second chance.

“In keeping with our commitment to spotlight real-life Los Angeles heroes, we are focusing this story arc on the work of animal care and rescue in our city’s shelters,” said Bradley Bell, Executive Producer and Head.“Having iconic TV personality and animal activist, Bob Barker, on the show is an honor. Bob is a highly respected advocate for animal rights and is an instrumental player in the storyline. Additionally, Los Angeles City Councilmember and former Police Chief Bernard Parks guest stars in a cameo role. Mr. Parks traveled on location with us to the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter, a remarkable facility for the care and rescue of animals that he was instrumental in building in his district. Both of these men are true heroes, and I am pleased that they are representing this important issue on The Bold And The Beautiful.”

Barker hosted The Price is Right from 1972 to 2007 and was well known for signing off each day by saying, “Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered.” He is active with the united Activists for Animal Rights and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Because of this storyline actor Scott Clifton, The Bold and The Beautiful stage manger Laura Yale and The Bold and the Beautiful supervising producer Edward Scott adopted rescue animals.

Bell-Philip Television produces The Bold and The Beautiful.
