A 30-second trailer for the anticipated return of Sherlock has hit the web.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new trailer shows the social-media reaction to the news of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) being alive. “Oh my God!” exclaims a Sherlock fan after her phone rings and then various Twitter hashtags invade the screen saying “Sherlock is Alive.”
The new spot opens with John Watson (Martin Freeman) visiting Sherlock’s grave and then it shows quickly that he will actually face the news. In addition, the spot also reveals that the police forensic specialist Anderson (who has an adversarial relationship with Sherlock) is now a member of the fan club.
The first episode of the third season of Sherlock will air in January 2014. Watch the new trailer below:
