Apple TV+ Unveils Trailer And Release Date For Seth Rogen’s Comedy Series ‘The Studio’

According to a recent report from Variety, Apple TV+ has officially released the first trailer and premiere date for its highly anticipated comedy series The Studio, starring Seth Rogen (Superbad, The Interview, Pineapple Express). The 10-episode series will debut on March 26, 2025, with its first two episodes, followed by weekly Wednesday releases until the season finale on May 21.

Initially commissioned in 2022, The Studio follows Rogen as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of the struggling Continental Studios. Variety mentions that the show’s official synopsis paints a chaotic and satirical picture of life in the entertainment industry. As the film business battles to remain relevant, Remick and his team of insecure executives juggle artistic ambition and corporate pressure. Navigating industry politics, temperamental artists, and high-stakes events like casting decisions and award shows, every moment is a potential turning point for triumph or disaster. For Matt, who has dedicated his life to cinema, the job may prove his ultimate dream and his undoing.

Also mentioned by Variety, the series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Catherine O’Hara (Home Alone, Beetlejuice, Schitt’s Creek), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along, WandaVision, Step Brothers), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, The Hunt, Sisters), and Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies, City On Fire, Out Of The Blue). The trailer also hints at guest appearances by notable stars such as Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Upside), Martin Scorsese (Killers Of The Flower Moon, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Taxi Driver), Charlize Theron (Monster, Atomic Blonde, The Old Guard), and Ron Howard (Happy Days, Eden, A Beautiful Mind), among others.

According to Variety, The Studio is a collaboration between Lionsgate Television and Apple TV+. The show was created by Peter Huyck (What Men Want, The Pro, an American Education) and Alex Gregory (The Larry Sanders Show, Veep, White House Plumbers), alongside Rogen, Evan Goldberg (This Is The End, Sausage Party, Superbad), and Frida Perez (Good Boys, An American Pickle, White Noise). Rogen and Goldberg also serve as directors and executive producers under their Point Grey Pictures banner, with James Weaver (This Is The End, Neighbors, Good Boys), Alex McAtee (An American Pickle, game Over Man, Long Shot), and Josh Fagen (Joy Ride, Millers Girl, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem) also producing.

With its star-studded cast and sharp commentary on the highs and lows of filmmaking, The Studio is poised to offer a hilarious yet biting glimpse into Hollywood’s inner workings. The full trailer is now available, promising viewers a taste of the chaos and comedy to come.
