Apple TV+ Drops New Trailer for ‘Masters of the Air’ Starring Austin Butler & Callum Turner

According to Deadline, new trailer for the upcoming drama series Masters of the Air has been revealed by Apple TV+. Masters of the Air takes place during World War II and stars Austin Butler (The Carrie Diaries, Dune: Part Two) as Major Gale Cleven and Callum Turner (The Capture, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore) as Major John Egan.

The first two episodes of the series will debut everywhere on Friday, January 26, 2024 on Apple TV+. One episode will be released weekly on Fridays until the finale on March 15, 2024. The limited series is made up of nine episodes.

Masters of the Air is produced by Tom Hanks (A Man Called Otto, The Polar Express), Gary Goetzman (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, That Thing You Do!), and Steven Spielberg (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws). It is written by John Orloff (Band of Brothers, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole) and based on the book of the same name by Donald L. Miller (City of the Century: The Epic of Chicago and the Making of America, The Story of World War II).

The series is about the true story of a World War II American bomber group known as the 100th Bomb Group, or the “Bloody Hundredth.” It will showcase the trauma and tragedies of their experience.

Along with Butler and Turner, the cast of Masters of the Air features Nate Mann (Licorice Pizza, Evil), Josiah Cross (King Richard, A Thousand and One), Kai Alexander (Catastrophe, Pistol), Anthony Boyle (Ordeal by Innocence, Tolkien), Rafferty Law (Repo Man, Twist), Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education, Doctor Who), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin), Branden Cook (Get Spy, NCIS), and Josh Bolt (Last Tango in Halifax, Benidorm).

It is executive produced by Goetsman, Hanks, and Spielberg, Orloff, Graham Yost (Silo, Justified), Justin Falvey (Good Night Oppy, All the Way), Steven Shareshian (The Circle, News of the World), and Darryl Frank (The Americans, Life on Our Planet). The series is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (The Alienist, Maniac), Anna Boden (It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Captain Marvel), Tim Van Patten (Gossip Girl, FBI: Most Wanted), Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson, Mississippi Grind), and Dee Rees (Upload, Space Force).
