Apple TV releases an official trailer for the second season of Sugar. We will see the continuation of John Sugar and what mysteries he will solve in this new season.
For those who don’t know, Sugar tells a story about a private detective who investigates the missing people cases of Los Angeles. According to Apple TV Press, the second season will show John Sugar taking on a new missing persons case, where he will be searching for the older brother of an up and coming local boxer. While he is taking on the case he will also continue searching for his missing sister. As the investigation continues Sugar will unravel a citywide conspiracy with sinister intentions. In the trailer we see Sugar walk in on what appears to be a cartel like apartment and the police raid the apartment and arrest Sugar. Once again we will see Sugar going in over his head when it comes to solving this mystery, but won’t stop until he gets the answers he needs.
The cast consists of Colin Farrell (A Big Beautiful Journey, Ballad of a Small Player), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Krapopolis, The Night Manager), Amy Ryan (Only Murders in the Building, Wolfs), Dennis Boutsikaris (Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game), Nate Corddry (The Testaments, Chicago Med), Alex Hernandez (Tox, The Rip), James Cromwell (Alicia in Wonderland, Bat-Fam), Anna Gunn (Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, Physical), Massi Furlan (Watch Out I’m the Lady Boss, Wrongful Death 2: Bloodlines), Reginald Lashaun Clav (The Pitt, True Story: Don’t Drown), Brandon Morales (Stranger Things, NCIS: Origins), Eric Lange (Law & Order, Invasion), Sydney Chandler (Alien: Earth, Creature Commandos), Bernardo Badillo (This Fool, Emily the Criminal), and Laura San Giacomo (Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Snapped).
The series is set to premiere on June 19, 2026. In the meantime, you can watch the first season of the show on Apple TV in order to get caught up for the main event.
