‘American Horror Story’ Taps Danny Huston to Join ‘Coven’

FX’s American Horror Story has added Danny Huston to its third season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

 

On Sunday, showrunner Ryan Murphy announced via Twitter that the Magic City alum will play Jessica Lange’s love interest on the third season of the anthology series.

Lange plays a witch named Fiona on Coven. Other characters include Kathy Bates as a historical personage Madame LaLurie, a Louisianna-born socialite and a serial killer who kept slaves bound in her home; and Angela Bassett plays woodoo expert and cult leader Marie Laveau.

Coven tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America, portraying mysterious attacks against their kind and young girls being sent away to special schools in New Orleans to learn how to pro text themselves.

Huston’s character, the boyfriend to Lange’s Fiona, has been described as both “sexy” and “ dangerous.”

Coven premieres October 9 on FX.
