‘After Midnight’ Hosted By Taylor Tomlinson Sets CBS Premiere Date

It’s been almost nine months since James Corden (Into The Woods) departed The Late Late show and the time slot has been left vacant. But now, there is finally a person gearing up as a replacement. The old Comedy Central game show @midnight is getting a makeover as a new adaptation of it called After Midnight will be returning to CBS with none other than the beloved rising comedian Taylor Tomlinson (Quarter Life Crisis).

The fact that Tomlinson will be hosting the show has been news for a while. It was announced on November 1st that she was going to be the face of After Midnight, but up until now, there has yet to be a premiere date announced or even speculated. But the wait is now over as Deadline has reported that the show will begin airing on January 16, and they will continue to air each week on Tuesdays at 12:37 am, following episodes of The Late Show, hosted by Stephen Colbert.

After Midnight is described by TVLine as “The smartest show on television about the dumbest things on the Internet. Each night, Tomlinson and a panel of TBD guests will unpack what set the Internet abuzz that day, with a game show feel.” The original show @midnight has a similar feel to it with guests that came up with their funny responses to internet content and memes. The program ran from 2013 to 2017.

Tomlinson, the host of the new series, was a finalist on Last Comic Standing on NBC. She then gained a following and rose in popularity due to her 2020 Netflix comedy special Quarter-Life Crisis which was then followed by a second special titled Look at You. Tomlinson has made several appearances on late-night television and has gained a solid following on social media with a whopping 2.6 million TikTok followers and counting.

After Midnight hosted by Taylor Tomlinson will premiere on Tuesday, January 16 at 12:37 am on CBS.
