An American Idol will be coming to Glee this year.
Series creator Ryan Murphy tweeted Wednesday, “I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.” He did not offer any details about Lambert’s role in the upcoming season.
Lambert was the runner-up for the eighth season of American Idol and has since released two studio albums. He has also made a guest appearance as himself on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.
The news of Lambert’s casting comes amidst some major changes in the Glee lineup. Five original members of the cast will not be returning for the show’s fifth season, while five newer members have been promoted to series regular status.
