Deadline exclusively reported that ABC is considering bringing back the drama show.
Although the writers and the cast of Body of Proof all moved on to other projects after receiving the cancellation news last season, ABC might consider getting the show back in the air for mid-season.
Body of Proof was cancelled after three seasons. Though it was not one of ABC’s most popular shows, the ratings achieved in its last run justified a renovation. ABC decided not continue the series, but instead to give way to four new shows, but three of them (Lucky 7, Betrayal and Once Upon A Time In Wonderland) have not managed to do better than Body of Proof – which why the network is considering the exhumation of the crime series.
It looks like Body of Proof will follow the steps of CBS’s Unforgettable – which was also cancelled despite decent ratings, the network considered a move to cable and then ended up bringing it back with a new run.
