‘A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder’ Season Two Trailer Released

Deadline reports that Netflix has released the official season two trailer for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, set to premiere May 27 on the platform. The second season is based on the second installment of author Holly Jackson’s (Five Survive, Not Quite Dead Yet) YA mystery trilogy – Good Girl, Bad Blood – and will consist of six 45 minute episodes.

Picking up after the events of the first season, Emma Meyers (Wednesday, A Minecraft Movie) plays the central star and teen sleuth Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi as she deals with the fallout from solving Andie Bell’s cold case disappearance and the murder of Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni; The Way of the Runner, The Holy Yield). Pip is determined to stay away from investigations and relax from high-stakes mysteries. However, she suddenly finds herself in a race against time to find Connor’s (Jude Morgan-Collie; Here We Go, Terminator: Dark Fate) brother and key witness Jamie (Eden H. Davies; Tell Me Everything, Slaughter) after his sudden disappearance just prior to the trial of Max Hastings (Henry Ashton; My Lady Jane, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms). No rest for the wicked here, as Pip finds herself swept into a mystery of, what she fears most to be true, her own design.

Joining Myers this season once more is Zain Iqbal (All Crazy Random, Why ME?) as Ravi Singh (Sal’s brother and Pip’s boyfriend after the season one’s mutual confession in the finale) along with Ashton, Davies, Morgan-Collie, Asha Banks (My Fault: London, Rebel Cheer Squad), and Yali Topol Margalith (The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Finding Emily). Newcomers to the ensemble this season include Lu Cornfield (The Crow Girl, Last Tango in Halifax), Stephanie Street (Primeval, Breathtaking), Freddie Thorp (Overdrive, Fate: The Winx Saga), Anna Brindle (Wild Cherry, The Outs), and Peter Sullivan (The Iris Affair, The Jetty).

mxdwn reported prior on the series, including the upcoming season’s casting announcements and the setting of its official release date.

Season two of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is adapted for the screen and written by author Jackson and Poppy Coogan (Steal, Red Rose), who worked on the season one adaptation. Alongside both, Deadline lists executive producers as Moonage Pictures’ Simon Crawford Collins (The Red Violin, Mystic), Matthew Read (The Famous Five, The Gentlemen), and Frith Triplady (Peaky Blinders, Fortitude); and Katherine Bond (Boarders, Boat Story), Lucy Richer (The Woman in the Wall, Top of the Lake), and Danielle Scott-Haughton (Dear Jesus, The Alexis Show) for the BBC.

As stated prior, the upcoming second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will have a global Netflix premiere on May 27 save for a few select regions, reports Deadline. For viewers in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, it will be exclusively available on ZDFneo. Those in Australia can find it on Stan exclusively as well, and it will premiere in the UK and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
