Taylor Sheridan’s new limited series 1923, spin-off of Yellowstone, has been given two 8-episode seasons. Sheridan, writer of Yellowstone, Wind River, and Hell or High Water, originally planned 1923 to be a one season series, but it had turned out to be such a “sprawling saga” that MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios gave the thumbs up for a second season, according to Deadline.
In addition to his new limited series, Sheridan is currently developing a spin-off of his series Yellowstone, via Deadline. The new series will surround the Dutton ranch family dynasty, and may include two separate storylines that encompass the family’s struggle on the ranch in the 1940s and the 1960s, according to Deadline
