Review: ‘The Boroughs’ Season 1, Episode 7 “Time To Go”

Episode 7 begins with Annaliese and Blaine getting ready for the anniversary party. Annaliese shows Baine the bullet wound from Judy, which should have healed by now, showing Mother’s blood is getting weaker.

We then see Sam in The Manor, who is told by a worker that he has had a pint or six of brain fluid drained from him by Blaine, since he broke the deal. After Paz cuts off everyone’s ankle monitors, Wally gets results from the doctor, saying there was no change in cellular degeneration. He then proposes that Mother has been given so much human brain fluid that she is starting to look like them. The doctor says something about bone marrow transplants, and this gives Wally a eureka moment.

Back in The Manor, Sam talks with a patient, who tells him that Edward used to escape all the time, under direction from the Duchess. She tells him to grab some cake and follow her to meet her. The lady tells Sam the Duchess needs a cue to get her to remember, and that cue is a pack of smokes, which he can find from Warden Toby in The Manor. Sam does some Karaoke at The Manor to cause a ruckus, and to acquire the smokes from the office.

While searching, he gets caught by Toby but knocks him out with a sedative. Sam then gives The Duchess the smokes, and she springs to life. Duchess says that Mother manifests herself as a person’s family member or someone from their past, leading Sam to realize that the visions of his wife he was seeing were her. The lady then says that Mother is begging Sam to be saved.

Art, Paz, Judy, and Renee then break into The Manor in an attempt to break Sam out, though he has already started leaving The Manor. Claire then comes in and tells Paz that she wants to sign her father out. Wally goes to speak with Blaine, who tells him he is taking over Dr. Monsiuer’s duties, since he killed him. Blaine then says he is going to fatten the kids up, and prep Mother for a transfusion. Suddenly, Mother heart rate goes weird, causing pain for Sam, stopping him, and allowing Toby to catch up.

Judy and Renee knock out Toby and try to help him leave, but they trigger an alarm, the building goes under lockdown, and the van gets booted. Renee, Judy, and Sam escape the building through the side, and Paz and Claire break through the glass, as Art (who Paz called to save them) arrives in his truck to pick everyone up.

This was another good episode. Again, not as crazy as the other ones were, but it was still a good watch. Now it seems like they might try and save Mother, so we’ll have to see if they accomplish this, or if she will be killed.

I have created many characters and have many ideas for different movies, video games, and shows. Besides creating the characters and stories, I believe I would also like to take part in them as well.
