According to Variety, the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff, currently titled The Dutton Ranch, has added four new series regulars. The series, which is centered around Beth and Rip, adds Natalie Alyn Lind (Big Sky, Tell Me Story), Marc Menchaca (She’s Lost Control, Dead of Winter), Juan Pablo Raba (The Marksman, Delirium), and JR Villarreal (Magic City Memoirs, Whiteblood). Kelly Reilly (Eden Lake, Flight) and Cole Hauser (2 Fast 2 Furious, Good Will Hunting) will reprise their roles as Beth and Rip, Finn Little (Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Surfer) will also return in the role of Carter. Jai Courtney (Dangerous Animals, Jolt) also stars along with both Ed Harris (The Rock, Westworld) and Annette Bening (American Beauty, Hope Gap).
As per Variety, Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, who are the owners of the largest ranch in Montana. The series revolves around family drama at the ranch and the bordering Broken Rock Indian Reservation. The official log line of The Dutton Ranch is as follows: “Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”
According to Variety, Menchaca will play Zachariah, who is described as “a newly released jailbird trying to rebuild his life as a wrangler and cowboy.” Lind will play Oreana, said to be “a striking young woman with a wild and free spirit.” Villarreal will play Azul, “a whipcord wrangler and Rip’s right-hand man.” And finally, Raba will play Joaquin, “a worker at a major ranch who fixes problems, big or small.”
As per Variety, Menchaca is known for his roles in shows like Ozark, The Outsider, The Sinner, and most recently Dexter: Resurrection. Lind’s credits include The Goldbergs, The Gifted, Sugar, Tell Me A Story, and Blue Sky. Raba is known for his starring roles in Narcos as well as the military drama Six. Villarreal played roles in the first season of Landman and Netflix’s Freeridge.
