Watch The Season Seven Trailer for Tyler Perry’s ‘Sistas’

The sixth season of Tyler Perry’s (Madea’s Family Reunion) Sistas just ended its sixth season. But, in a rapid turnaround, season seven is coming in hot after all the twists and turns that the sixth season threw at viewers. With the end of the most recent season, TVLine has released that the series has dropped the official trailer for its newest season, and some questions that fans may have had after the latest finale might start to get answered.

The trailer shows a glimpse into the drama that is going to unfold with the new episode. It is ridden with clips of relationship drama, pregnancy scandals, doctor appointments, and a massive drop of an FBI investigation. On a more positive note, there is mention of moving on and seeing the characters enter a new era of growth for themselves. But, anything can happen in this show as twists and turns are thrown at these characters constantly, so nobody is safe. This upcoming season also will begin its storyline in a time jump three months after the sixth season concluded. Viewers are excited about the direction this season seems to be headed towards as some older and dying storylines are starting to be shed and the “new era” that the series is heading into looks filled with entertaining narratives and plenty of drama to be unfolded.

Sistas’ official logline describes it as a series that “follows a group of single black women as they navigate the ups and downs of modern life, which includes careers, friendships, romances, and even social media.” The series stars KJ Smith (Family Time, A Madea Family Funeral), Crystal Hayslett (Zatima, Praise This), Trinity Whiteside (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Nobody’s Fool) and Brian Jordan Jr. (Georgia Sky).

Season 7 of Sistas will premiere on Wednesday, January 3 at 9/8c, only a week after the finale of season six. The episodes will continue to air during the same time on Wednesdays on BET. Watch the official trailer for the seventh season below!
