‘WandaVision’ Series Release Date has Moved from 2021 Debut to 2020

Disney+ series WandaVision release is being moved from its previous scheduled 2021 debut. The series which was originally set for a premiere date sometime during the spring of the 2021 year.  In the promo, highlight all the new shows and films that will make their way onto the platform for the 2020 year. WandaVision is seen amongst a collection of shows that are set to debut and according to TVLine, the show has happily moved its debut to the fall 2020 year following the premiere of another MCU series, The Falcon and Winter Soldier series. The show will feature acting duo Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and Daniel Brulh as Zemo, which also has a set fall 2020 debut.

A concrete plot for the series is still unknown at this time, except for the fact that the show is rumored to be 1950s themed. The show will also focus on diving more into understanding more of Olsen’s character Wanda, according to Variety, during the WandaVision panel at 2019’s San Diego Comic Con, Olsen said quote “We’re gonna go deep, we’re gonna have lots of surprises, and we’re gonna finally understand Wanda Maximoff as the Scarlet Witch,” Captain Marvel writer Jac Schaeffer is also writer, producer and showrunner for the current series alongside Marvel President and Executive Producer Kevin Feige and director Matt Shakeman.

Along with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany in reprising their roles for the series. Characters from several MCU films are also planning on being featured, including Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls; Dollface) as Research assistant Darcy Lewis first seen in Thor, Randall Park (Fresh off the Boat) as FBI Agent Jimmy Woo in Antman and the Wasp and newcomer Teyonah Parris (Dear White People) as an adult Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel.
