‘Walking Dead’ Casts Another Former Wire Actor

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that yet another veteran of HBO’s The Wire will join the cast of Walking Dead for Season 5.

Seth Gilliam will join the AMC drama as a regular for the fifth season of the Walking Dead. Gilliam, who played Sergeant Ellis Carver in The Wire, joins Chad Coleman and Larry Gilliard Jr. as the third former Wire actor to join The Walking Dead.

The role Gilliam will play on the show is not yet stated, other than that his character will be “friendly”, but with a “haunted side.” The Walking Dead will return to AMC for its fifth season in October.
