According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC’s remake of the musical The Sound of Music just cast seven new faces to play the Von Trapp children.
NBC’s upcoming live show found the children to play the seven Von Trapp kids: Ariane Rinehart as Liesl, Michael Nigro as Fredrich, Ella Wats-Gorman as Louisa, Joe West as Kurt, Sophia Caruso as Brigitta, Grace Rundhaug as Marta and, finally, Peyton Ella as Gretl.
The network had already cast Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer for the leading parts of Maria and Captain George Von Trapp, and also Audra McDonald, Laura Benanti and Christian Borle in supporting roles.
The Sound of Music, Live! will be executive produced by Smash‘s Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. The remake will air on NBC on Thursday, December 5th at 8/7 c.
