ABC has revealed upcoming cast members for their series Celebrity Wife Swap, including Joan Rivers and Bristol Palin. Also joining Joan in the swap will be her daughter Melissa Rivers, who will be trading spots with Willow Palin.
Bristol and Willow became household names when their mother, former Governor Sarah Palin, was on bill for Vice President with Senator John McCain. Bristol’s unplanned conception was the cause of controversy for Sarah, both ending up under scrutiny for her teen pregnancy. Bristol competed in the 2010 season of Dancing with the Stars.
Melissa and Joan Rivers are both currently executive producing the E! series Fashion Police, which highlights fashion trends amongst celebrities. The show also features George Kotsiopoulos, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic, as well as many other celebrity guest hosts.
The Palins will have to take over the roles of the Rivers’ in busy entertainment mecca Los Angeles, including producing Fashion Police, as well as caring for Melissa’s 12-year-old son, Cooper. Meanwhile, in Alaska, Bristol’s son Tripp, now 4 years old, will be in the hands of Joan and Melissa, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
The series will premiere Sunday, June 23 on ABC. Other swappers later this season include girlfriend and wife of former WWE wrestlers Ric Flair and Roddy Piper, as well as Nia Peeples and Tiffany.
