USA Network Picks Up Two Series, Renews ‘White Collar’

USA Network has picked up two new series, Rush (Working Title) and Complications, as well as renewed fan-favorite White Collar for a sixth season.

Rush comes from Fox 21 and was written and produced by Jonathan Levin (Warm Bodies) and Complications hails from Fox Television Studios and was created and executive produced by Matt Nix (Burn Notice). Both series received 10-episode orders, including the pilots. White Collar comes from creator and executive producer Jeff Eastin. It received an order for six new episodes.

This announcement comes after USA picked-up two other dramas. The summer will launch with the Untitled Sean Jablonksi series starring Matt Passmore. They also have new series Dig premiering in late 2014 starring Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche. Dig comes from creators Tim Kring and Gideon Raff.

“We are excited to usher in the next generation of USA dramas, alongside our signature returning originals that continue to attract a large and loyal fan base,” said Chris McCumber, president of USA Network. “This year USA will be showcasing more hours of original programming than ever before, including an unprecedented 6 new series and 6 returning shows.”

Rush stars Tom Ellis and hails from writer/director Levine and Little Engine’s Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo. It centers on Dr. William Rush (Ellis), a highly discreet doctor who prefer his patients pay his cash-only premium. He lives life on the edge until an old flame and his conscience come into play.

Complications centers on John Ellis (Jason O’Mara), a disillusioned ER doctor who has a life changing moment during a drive-by shooting. He saves a young boys life and kills one of his attackers. The boy now has a death target on him and Ellis feels he must save the boy at any cost. The experience changes his outlook on life and work.

White Collar ended with a cliffhanger and now fans are left to wonder what happened to their beloved con artist. The series averages around four million per season and stars Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Tiffani Thiessen, Willie Garson, Sharif Atkins and Marsha Thomason. It was created and executive produced by Eastin and Bick Thiel and Jeff King serves as executive producers.
